When someone dies it is the task of the Executors named in their Will to prove the Will and to obtain a Grant of Probate. The Grant of Probate of the Will is the legal authority for the Executors to gather in the estate and pay off any bills or debts and then to distribute the estate in accordance with the wishes set out in the Will (we can act for the Executors (whether or not members of the firm are also Executors)) to assist in what can sometimes be a rather complicated process.
